Essay 1-02b: Uni. Life

They are students of KGU. They like this school, and They are going to write about their university life.

They study various subjects. Especially, English is a compulsory subject, so they study English much more than other subjects. English has four skills. For example, there are Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening. They are not easy to study four skills for them, but they think these will be good for them. Also, they study TOEIC to get high score. It is very difficult. If they take the next TOEIC test, they want to get score much than the last TOEIC test.

Their basic commuting to the university is bicycle. It takes about thirty minutes to go to the school by bicycle from their home. They like to go to the school by bicycle because they can feel refreshed. They don’t play sports daily. They think going to the school by bicycle is good exercise very much. However, they go to the school by bus when it is rainy in the morning. They don’t like go to the school by bus because there are a lot of people in bus and it takes times much more than going to the school by bicycle. It is coming the rainy season soon. June has a heavy rain in Japan.

They like to go to the school. Of course, they like holidays. they have many things to spend holidays. For example, they do my part time job every Saturday. It is very hard, but they like this job. After doing my part time job, they feel a sense of fulfillment. Also, they can know making money is not easy. Also, they like to read books and comics. They spend most of their time at home on Sunday, and they read the books and comics then. they read two or three books a month. they often go to the book store the next day after a pay day. When they look various books in the book store, they are very happy. They sometimes buy a magazine.

In their university life, it is most important for them to attend all classes they take. They like to attend the class because teachers give their students a detailed explanation of it, and they can know a lot of things they have never known. However, they give us a lot of homework every week, so it is very hard for me to do all homework before their deadline.

Theirs afterschool are going home or doing part time job. They are very happy when they can go home immediately after school. However, they do a part time job three times a week. Their part time job are not desk work, so it is a little tired for us to do a part time job after school. We always think that making one’s living is not easy thing.

There are a lot of extra- curricular activities in University. For example, there is a festival participation. It holds on November. They hear a lot people come on the day. However, they never been to the festival participation, so they want to go to the festival participation this year.

They can get to know a lot of friends at university. Their friends are easy to get along with because of their frank disposition. They think friendship is as important as attending classes because they can enjoy their university life much more. They like to talk with friends. They also like to go to the shopping, having a lunch and dinner.

They like to attend the class, and they like the vacant hours, too. In the vacant hours, they move the next classroom, and they sometimes do the preparation for next class. They like a noon recess very much because they can have a lunch, and they can talk a lot with theirs friends. It is very fun time, so it always passes the time in an instant.

When they entered a college school last year, they were very surprised at the large land of the university. There are a lot of Facilities. For example, there are library, cafeteria, bakery and so on. They like library very much. It is theirs favorite place in the university.

Last, they are going to write about their goal. Of course, theirs goal is getting a job. They don’t decide a concrete goal. However, they want to get a good job, so they think they have to study very hard. They would like to learn a lot of things. Studying now will prove of use someday.  When they find a job, learning things in the university will be helpful in many ways surely. Therefore, they want to do Their best now so that they will not regret this university life afterwards.

My other classes

I am going to write about my other classes. I go to the school every day, and I attend various classes. English classes are very fun. My other classes are also fun and I can learn a lot of things that I have never known. For example, there are a history of Japan, physical anthropology, psychology and so on. Especially, my favorite class is the psychology. It is very interesting for me to learn psychology. I sometimes have a psychological test. It is one of reason that I like it.

BR 1-10:The story of Percy and the Pirates

“Percy Pike is hungry, very hungry, but his fishing trip runs into trouble. First his boat sinks…the he is captured by pirates. Can Percy escape before he is forced to walk the plank?”

Percy and his family lived on a farm by the sea, but there was never enough to eat. One day, he thought “I will catch some fish and surprise everyone.” Percy rowed around the bay, and he put a worm on his hook and started to fish. However, Percy waited…and waited…He got so tired of waiting, he fell asleep! When he woke up, his boat had sprung a leak. Just then, he saw a ship and he shouted “help!” At least, the ship came alongside Percy’s boat, and Percy grabbed a rope and pulled himself up. He thought “What lucky!” However, he did not feel so lucky when he saw who had rescued him.

There are a lot of tales of pirates, but I have never known this story. The story of this book made me exited. I want you to read this book.

BR 1-09:The story of The Boy who cried wolf

The boy named Sam lives in the village. Every day was the same, and Sam was lonely and he was so bored because all his friends were down in the village. One day, he had an idea. He thought he can make something happen. However, this thing has reached the worst possible pass.
The story of this book understands what telling a lie is not good very much. I think the story of the boy who cried wolf is famous and a lot of people have ever heard. Of course, I want people who never heard this story to read this book.

Extended outline on Uni Life

how I study English

I’m going to write about how I study English. First, I write English words when I want to have a lot of English vocabulary.  Writing English words repeatedly is one of good way for me. Also, I often watch foreign movies. However, I always watch them with Japanese subtitles. I cannot watch English movies without English subtitles now, so I want to become able to watch movies without using English subtitles someday. I think watching foreign movies is also good way. I am not good at English, I have to study English harder.

Mother's day

  I went to Fukuoka with my mother last Sunday. My older sister lives in Fukuoka, so we could see my sister. We went to Fukuoka by Shinkansen. It is very fast. It took about forty minute from Kumamoto station to Hakata station. We went to the shopping all day, but I bought only hat because there were not good clothes and shoes I want to buy. However, I also like window shopping, so I enjoyed very much. Also, we ate a lot of delicious foods. For example, we went to “Quil-fait-bon”. It is one of famous fruits cake shops in Japan. I have ever been there four times. I like this shop very much. Last Sunday was Mother’s day in Japan. I and my sister gave the present to my mother after having a dinner. My mother was surprised at it very much, and she looked like very glad. I and my mother are also glad. I enjoyed all day. I and my mother are going to Fukuoka again on August. I am looking forward to go Fukuoka and see my sister.

eating habits

I am going to write about food and eating habits. I like to eat very much. I think eating is living, so eating is very important thing for everyone. My favorite food is rice, fish, beans, nuts and so on. I like Japanese food very much.  When I eat rice and miso soup in the morning, I feel so happy. I don’t like sweet food, but I like the time when I eat sweet with my friends and my family, so I sometimes eat sweet food. One of my favorite food is nuts. Especially, I like Walnut very much. I eat it every day. Macadamia nut is also delicious, but it is very expensive. I eat out twice a week. This week, I ate out on Wednesday and ate Tendon in the restaurant. It is Japanese food.  Of course, it was very delicious.   I think eating anything is the happiest thing in my life.

I think this story is very funny and strange. One old woman swallowed a fly. If you swallowed a fly, what do you do to solve it? I think almost people gave it up because people don’t know how to solve it. However, old woman took action doesn’t have one chance in a million of success. It is how to solve only old woman is capable of doing. This story is a typically fairy tale, so it is very easy and fun for a lot of people to read this book.

In the summer, ant works very hard because ant wants to spend comfortable in the winter. In contrast, the grasshopper didn’t work because the grasshopper is going to work when the winter comes. However, the grasshopper faced a serious crisis in the winter.
This story tells us what having inner reserves of strength and having any time to spare are very important things. I think a lot of people have ever read this story, so I want them to read again.

In my university life, it is most important for me to attend all classes I take. I like to attend the class because teachers give our students a detailed explanation of it, and I can know a lot of things I have never known. my college life

I am going to write about my college life. This spring, I was a second year student at university. I like to go to the school because I can see a lot of friends and teachers. However, I think studying in second year student at university is much harder than that in first year student at university. Almost teacher gives us the homework which has to do by next class. It is very hard for me to do all homework every week, but I feel happy when I've finished doing all my homework. Also, I want to attend the school for this year without missing a single day or being late. It is my aim in a second year student at university. That is going well at the moment. I'll do my best at all subjects.

BR 1-06: The story of the RUNAWAY PANCAKE

One family lived, and their mother decided to make pancakes for breakfast. They all were very happy to hear that. However, one matter which they all unexpected happen! Finally, all characters in this books chased pancake. Turning over next pages of this book is exciting!

I think this story of the RUNAWAY PANCAKE is similar to “Omusubikororin” very much. It is tales of old Japanese. Also, the illustrations are very cute.

BR 1-05: The story of Chicken Licken

“The sky is falling! Cries Chicken Licken. Soon every animal in the farmyard is rushing to warn the King. Even sly old Foxy Loxy wants to help. Or does he…?” Most of the aimals on the farm were happy. However, Chicken Licken wasn’t happy because Chicken Licken was scared-of everything. One day, a tiny acorn dropped from the tree, and hit Chicken Licken’s head. Chicken Licken didn’t see it, and he looked up at the blue sky. Then Chicken Licken thought “The sky must be falling” It made Chicken Licken misunderstand. After that, all animal contains Chicken Licken fell into panic! This story sounds very convincing, but this book make me feel like smiling.
